Irina Sergeyenva Albig has been teaching private and class piano, music theory, and music history since 1991. She holds a Master of Arts in Piano Performance from Washington State University, Pullman, Washing, USA. She received the Master's degree in Music Theory and Music History from the Krasnodar Academy of Arts and Bachelor of Music in Music Theory, History and Composition from the Rimsky-Korsakov Music College Krasnodar, Russia.
Currently Mrs. Albig is a president and a program chair of the Treasure Valley Music Teacher's Association and a Chair for the Awards Auditions at the Boise Tuesday Musical. She is a past vice president of the Denver Area Music Teachers’ Association and past vice president of the Wabash Valley Music Teachers’ Association, IN. She was a founder of the Young Composers’ recitals series and Master Classes in the Wabash Valley Area of Terre Haute, IN.
Irina Albig has performed as a soloist and collaborative musician. She had performed in different venues and faculty recitals in Pullman WA, Denver CO, Boulder CO, Terre Haute, IN. She also performed in Boise, ID as a collaborate pianist. Among her recent performances are: recital with North California cellist Issac Pastor-Chermak, and multiple performances with violinist Jennifer Sullivan (duo Enigma de la Sol). She had been a church musician, and choir accompanist for six years.
Mrs. Albig is an active adjudicator. She has judged multiple piano competitions and music festivals, such as Piano Concerto Competitions and Denver Area Piano Competitions in Denver, CO; MTNA regional competition in Laramie, WY; Boulder Area Piano Competition in Boulder, CO; MTNA regional competitions in Boise, ID. She had been adjudicating for Achievement in Music festival in Terre Haute, IN 2007-2012, and NFMC Festival in Boise, ID 2012-2016.
